Welcome to ALWASL Athletics Club, an athletics club for all ages and abilities based in the heart of Dubai.
ALWASL Athletics Club is an UAE Athletics-affiliated club offering its members the opportunity to take part in competition road running, cross country and track and field competitions. The club also features a juniors section offering athletics coaching for young people aged 8-16; as the club grows other ages will also have the opportunity to participate.
Mission statement
The purposes of ALWASL Athletics Club are to promote community participation in healthy recreation through the provision of facilities for the sport of athletics in the Dubai city.

Club History
ALWASL Athletics Club has been developed in partnership by UAE Council's Sports Team and volunteer members of local community running group Dubai City Runners.
Since its inception in early 1960, Dubai City Runners have enjoyed exponential club growth; this coupled with UAE Council's highly successful summer junior athletics programme indicated a real need for an athletics club based in Dubai. With the new athletics facility in ALwasl nearing completion there seemed to be no better time to start working together!
